Brain–Body Metabolism

We probe crosstalk between neuronal exocytosis and peripheral metabolic secretion. Comparative studies of synaptic release and β‑cell insulin exocytosis reveal shared fusion checkpoints impacted by aging.

We test whether rescuing β‑cell exocytosis improves brain metabolic signaling and whether EV biomarkers link systemic metabolism to neurodegeneration.

This integrative theme unites our Alzheimer’s and diabetes projects to identify convergent therapeutic nodes.
